DIAMOND BAR AYSO
DIAMOND BAR AYSO
Region 31
Region 31 boasts an impressive cast of coaches including the highest ratio of Advanced & Nationally certified coaches of any region in Section 1. There are also a full compliment of certified instructors and specially certified coach trainers. To learn more contact Regional Coach Administrator Emad Banoub.
Each AYSO coach is a valued volunteer with Region 31 and the children of our community have a stronger Program thanks to their time, effort and dedication. However, comparably few coaches take the extra steps to continue their AYSO coach training & education with the last step being that of the National Coaching Course & Certification.
The National Coaching Course and the National Coach Certification are only offered once each year and only through the National Office. The National Coaching Course is a week-long, residential course conducted at Chapman University in Orange, CA. It is offered every June and runs from Sunday through Friday. The Program is led by National instructors John Ouelette and Bill Finkel and focuses not only on strategy and tactics but also on physical fitness, nutrition, laws of the game/refereeing and developing the "entire" child/player. As this course is only offered once a year, the space is very limited; the Program only accepting 40-45 students per year.
The course is demanding, both physically and mentally, and requires maximum efforts. While passing the course is not guaranteed, the coaching staff does work with each student all week to help them succeed. The total in-class and on-field time commitment alone is more than 55 hours during the five days.
Region 31 is extremely proud to commend the four individuals who attended the 2011 National Course the week of June 11-17th: Alfonso Gomez, David Haygood, Ruben Reyes and Dan Ripley. These four coaches join previous Diamond Bar AYSO graduates Emad Banoub, Glen Inouye, Xavier Rodriguez, Chris Sullivan, Farrokh Baher, Stephen Goode and Michael Hemming giving the Region 31 Coaching Program among the highest ratio of National Coaches per capita of regions in the nation.
If you have any questions or would like to know more about the Program, the Course and what is involved please contact either Regional Coach Administrator Emad Banoub or Regional Coach Trainer Chris Sullivan as both are graduates of this course and can share their experiences with you.

You can add pictures, videos, a journal/blog, calendar, a message board, links/bookmarks to other sites, team roster, contact list, task list, polls, map, weather, feeds, files/documents, snack schedule, track player availability, and more.
Once teams are formed in eAYSO, a private Shutterfly AYSO team site will automatically be created for each team, using data from eAYSO to pre–populate the roster and parent member list. The data used to create the site is for convenience only and is limited to the child’s name and parents’ email addresses that were provided during registration. AYSO coaches will be the administrative owner to their respective team’s site, and will receive the initial notification that the site is available for review. Coaches will be responsible for reviewing the initial list of players and parents before granting them access to the site. Coaches will also be able to assign administrative ownership to Team Parents or other registered volunteers who wish to help out.
AYSO Teams sites are will be distributed to each team before the season begins. The sites will include the team roster and parent contact information and are designed to fit the needs of AYSO teams. AYSO Team Share Sites are secure and only accessible by members of the site.
Pictures and videos posted to AYSO team sites are only viewable by members of that site, and are not accessible or open to the general public. AYSO team sites on Shutterfly will always be defaulted to a private, members–only setting. Furthermore, AYSO team sites are not indexed into internet search engines such as Google or Yahoo.
AYSO team sites continue to live on Shutterfly, free of charge, as an archive of the season’s memories. Members will continue to be able to log in to the site, to view or save pictures and videos of the season, order prints or create photo books or other keepsakes. The sites remain private and Shutterfly has a strict policy against deleting its members’ photos, so the team’s memories will be kept safe on its team site into the future.
